Most people just use hair grease or petroleum. There are sensitive scalp protectors sold at Sally's, however if you are looking for something ';cooling'; you might be referring to scalp products that include menthol. Unfortunately, menthol is an alcohol, and will open up your pores and dry out your skin- it'll feel good going on but as soon as the relaxer hits your head you will be burning for sure!!! I personally prefer mizani butter blends butter base, kinda pricey but you only use maybe 8x a year so... Its not heavy feeling, won't melt and run like oil while it sits on your scalp, and its very moisturizing which is half the reason why a relaxer ';burns';-dry scalp. The other is its just too strong or allergic reaction.
