I have virgin hair, if i use the olive oil relaxer will it fall it?

my mom keeps saying it'll fall out, but she prefers a texturizer on my edges.

Relaxer and texturizer are the same the only deffrence is that relaxers are made to ''straighten'' the hair but the texturizers just streches your curl pattern.Both have damaging effects.But if you really want it i'll suggest you let a trusted /linenced salonist do it for you.Also the eges are very sensitive to relaxer cause the hair there is acturally fine and that might lead to thining edges without good care.That doesn't mean tha your hait can't be in good shape once relaxed it just mean that you must take good care of your hair ir you do it that consists weakly or bi-weekly deep conditioning e.t.c

If you don't take care of your hair with chemicals in it, even texturizers can cause damage. I certainly wouldn't recommend a home relaxer for a 1st time user.
