my hair fizzes when its humid or really cold out/rainy and i want to know what do except if i get my hair chemically straighten, will it be completely straight when i get out of the shower and i wont have to do anything? my is semi curly right nowDoes anyone know of a good hair relaxer/chemical straightener?
If you under-process your hair with a relaxer (don't leave it on long enough) then it will only loosen your curl pattern. If you leave it on for the recommended amount of time then it'll straighten it. Like others have said, it depends on the strength and type of relaxer you use, because some people unintentionally under-process their hair and other will accidentally straighten their hair. If you only want to loosen your curl pattern then you can buy a texturizer. this is still a relaxer, but it's left on for a shorter amount of time so that you only loosen your curl pattern. If you leave it on longer than recommended then you risk permanently straightening your hair.
Keep in mind that when your relaxed hair gets wet or you wash it then it will still form kinks and become poofy and frizzy. This is normal and you'll have to use some form of heat, like a flat iron, to get it bone-straight again.
I suggest you let a professional, licensed beautician apply your relaxer if you want it straight. They're able to evaluate your hair to determine what strength and type of relaxer to use, whereas you most likely won't know how to do this, unless you've graduated cosmetology school and has worked as a licensed beautician.
