Hair Relaxer and salon?

would I be wrong if I only allowed my beautician to do my touch-up and nothing more? I would very much prefer to style, trim, and DC on my own.

Im skeptical when it comes to dealing with salons.Hair Relaxer and salon?
Pippie, I respect your concerns. Many stylist are like most businesses are having hard times, but this not a time for salons to be holing back. I a salon owner I've decided to allow my clients set their own prices for services. Although this is only going to happen for one month. I will help me gage from the community's stand point where my services stand as far as value. I believe in people and will take this knowledge gained and adjust my prices to reflect the community's value statement.

If you choose to only have the relaxer done then that should be respected! Period!

Wise you well.Hair Relaxer and salon?
Why? She'll do what she needs to do for her business.

But -- it's your head.

Just tell her that you want a touch-up.

*shrug*

I have a friend who does my hair and she's trying to get me to be a 'regular'. I'm just not the 'regular' type. Never have been.

I'm not a person who needs a stylist to 'get my hair together' or 'grow my hair out'.

That's something that a woman should be able to do on her own, imo.

Your hair grows, regardless.

If you wash, condition, 'relax' PROPERLY, minimize the heat and *take care of your ends* then you should have no problem with retaining that growth or breakage issues.

Beauticians are good at what they do but I only need one to cut my hair.

I usually pay for a 'trim/cut, wash and style' every so often.

And the trim is about the only thing that I will commit to every 10-14 weeks.

I am faithful to one stylist b/c I don't like any and everybody in my head -- but I just don't go to the shop that often.
