Why relaxers/perms dont work on my hair?

Im black and i have thick hair. When using perms i use super relaxers but it never seems to take. My hair never turns out to be silky smooth like the picture on the box. It turns out dry, puffy and frizzy. Even when i wash my hair and use conditioner nothing seems to work. Im so embarrassed about my hair, what is the secret? And please dont tell me to wrap it because that never works for me either. Your my last hope, im getting my hair permed tomorrow if it does work im just gonna shave my head. Ive been dealing with this all my life i cant take it anymore.

Well..Some people tend to put the perm on their ends to make it straight and silky...just put it on your scalp, make sure when you mix it, you don't have any clumps in the perm.. when washing it, wash 3 times and deep condition it, cover your hair and get under a dryer for 10-15minutes and RINSE the conditioner out.Why relaxers/perms dont work on my hair?
The problem is probably because you or someone else who is not licensed is doing something wrong. If you've never relaxed your hair before you need to apply it all over - near the scalp all the way to the ends. Also, after you are done w/ the relaxing process, you can not wash your hair for 2 days. There are many other things that need to be done correctly in order for a relaxer to work. Try getting your hair relaxed in a salon (by a professional, using a professional relaxer) %26amp; see how that works, you should get really good results.
Try the Olive Oil brand. I have horrible hair that turns out beautifully when I use it.
It could be the type of relaxer that you're using. What kind are you using?
