Is it okay to get a weave in your hair when you have a relaxer in your hair?

i have a relaxer in my hair and i recently cut my hair and i hate it short and i want it long again and i was wondering if it would be okay to braid my relaxed hair and add weave into it?Is it okay to get a weave in your hair when you have a relaxer in your hair?
If your hair is recently relaxed don't braid it up for a weave. Wait at least a month after a relaxer before you put it in a weave. The hair is too fragile right after a relaxer to braid it tightly.
