How long does a hair relaxer last??

juss askin!!??How long does a hair relaxer last??
I had the Japanese straightening system done. It lasted about 5 months. All I had to do was wash and go! No more blow drying or hot iron. The roots started to grow in and i did it again, its been about 6 months and i 'm thinking about doing for the 3rd time, I'm not sure if I really miss my curls!! It doesn't damage your hair at all, its actually healthier looking now.

The whole process takes about 5-6 hours depending on the length of your hair. It cost about $200, not including tips (nyc).

I think its worth the money. I used to pay $25 a week to have my hair blown out at the salon. How long does a hair relaxer last??
It only works on the exposed hair, you touch it up once you get new growth, only the roots. You usually only go 6 weeks between relaxers. You usually cut the ends and remove the previously relaxed hair that way and you condition it to maintain it.
The whole head over 6 months, new growth 6-8 weeks.
it can last up to 4 weeks depending on your hair type.
it will last until your natural hair grows out...if you have never had one just know that once you do it there is no turning back..you have to cut it out or let it grow out and then cut the remaining permed hair off...hope this helps
It all really depends on your hair and ther type of perm that you have on your hair, usually they last 6weeks, then you need to get a retouch
About 6-8 weeks
done correctly its permanent BUT that doesnt count the regrowth... regrowth will come in curly and require a retouch. Retouches are needed 4- 8weeks depending on how fast your hair grows.

Occasionally curls/waves will sneak back into hiar that has been previously relaxed but it will not go back to the same type of curls you had natually - that hair has been permanelty altered. Only the new growth and the root area will be unchanged that hair has never been chemically treated....
