NO!!!!! relaxer is only for black persons hair. it will burn a white persons hair to the point of falling out!!! a strait perm is when someone uses the chemical you would usually use to get curls by rolling it on perm rods except they do not use rods it only works on white peoples hair. ... this is a common question. blacks frequently refer to relaxers as ';perms'; and they straighten THEIR hair. No they are not the same thing, there are different chemicals involved


BUT NO, a relaxer will not burn caucasion hair and make them bald is applied properly.


Both work the same way, apply the chemical to the hair and then use a wide tooth comb or fingers to comb the hair to the desired straightness, and then rinse.
