Can i put a relaxer in my hair and then dye it?

.... Or will it fry my hair and make it fall out?

Thanx in advanced :^ }Can i put a relaxer in my hair and then dye it?
MonaLisa is your best answer! she's correct about using a semi-permanent color. actually, what type of ';dye'; are you thinking? to deposit color only and not lighten your hair, that is easily done and won't damage your hair in the least. here's the safest and easiest recipe: get any 'color' you want, permanent or semi-permanent (again, you are adding color here--- like a reddish color, or a plum/burgundy, or darker brown...) add equal parts color and 3% (3 volume) peroxide, swirl it around in the bottle, don't shake, apply to your hair for 30 minutes, rinse only-----especially if you've already had a relaxer that same day. 3 % (3 volume) peroxide is just enough to open your hair shaft and allow the color to etch in. it should be a NEW bottle of peroxide, the same kind your mother poured over your cuts and scratches when you were little. beauty supply stores make a fortune because the general public doesn't know this is the safest and easiest peroxide to use. again, this peroxide is not meant to lighten your hair. it will only deposit color...like a sheen, or cover some gray, or spice up what you already have with a deeper more intense color. it will NOT lighten your hair. now, may i beg you to spend your money on a really hot flat iron instead of that relaxer? please? a Babyliss flat iron gets hot enough to make african american hair silky smooth. you must be patient and take the tiniest sections, truly. and, go over it several times! this type of professional (really hot) iron can be purchased at Sally's or Maly's, or eBay, or Amazon. Another excellent brand is ';CHI';! the chemical in relaxer is sodium hydroxide, better known as Lye, it is a carcinogin (it causes cancer) in addition to melting your lovely curls! i worked with black hair for many years, personally, i would let only the most skilled professional apply relaxer. it will break. you can color your hair successfully after the relaxer yourself...again, as long as your use 3 volume peroxide and want to deposit color only. best of luck to you!Can i put a relaxer in my hair and then dye it?
It's likely if the relaxed hair is very unhealthy and you bleach the hair. It happens all the time. Check out people's fotkis with relaxed hair at fotki.com. Many of them had to start over after dying relaxed hair.

I recommend gentle all natural henns tha actually conditions hair. hennaforhair.com and mehandi.com

If you do choose to use a chemical dye do deep conditioning treatments and protein treatments regularly to avoid breakage. And go to the below websites.
You can with rinses and semi permanent dyes. The one I use is by dark and lovely and on the box it says relax and color the same day.
the box will ususally say but i dont recommend it. it cant be that good for your hair...i would have a stylist do it
I can speak from personal experience.

Your hair will fall out.

Wait a few weeks between treatments.
U need to wait at least two weeks after relaxing your hair to dye it, or vice versa.
