My hair relaxer went very horrorble..need help?

well this was my first hair relaxer...and i followed the directions...but after i had really badd burns on mt fore head..and on my face...now i look like a monster of some type...i look horrorble..will i stay like this forever? i did not even go to school today becouse i look so bad...i have scabs every where..and on my scalp...so what should i do from this point?..its friday so it should have time to heal..so what should i do? i really need help..i dont want all my hair to fall out eatherMy hair relaxer went very horrorble..need help?
even thoguh this will be a waste of your relaxer... I suggest you put on some Tresseme Shampoo(makes hair 80% stornger) it will prevent your hair from falling out. I had a relaxer that started taking my hair out by lots, then this saved it.. Also every day wash your hair with a deep condiitoner because you dried your hair out a lot. The scabs, you just have to wait it out for them too fall off. DO NOT PEEL THEM AT ALL. next time go to a salon, or if you want to do it yourself, When it starts to burn even a little bit, wash your hair out. goodluck. My hair relaxer went very horrorble..need help?
i don't know if you're saying you have scabs where you did not put relaxer? if so, you had a bad reaction to the chemical. if not, you need to know that you should not wash your hair one week prior to relaxing or scratch your head. you should not relax with sores in your head. maybe you were scratching or something and that's why you have the scabs. i have had scabs and i will wash my hair like 3 days later and they will be gone after that. they have never taken my hair out. if yours are that bad i do recommend going to a stylist. i have never needed to put anything on mine for them to go away.
How did you get relaxer that far down your face? Mercy

Basically keep vaseline, cocoa butter, or aloe vera on the burn areas to keep the skin pliable while the scab heals. Perhaps you should wear some bangs to hude the burn on your forehead. You don't need to try this again on your own because you obviously do not knwo how to follow instructions or they were not clear to you, and you just don;t have a natural inclination on hair styling.

Sorry Boo...
it happens sometimes, but I've never heard of one this bad. Usually I put like Vaseline or some kind of moisturizer on the burns. My usually goes away in a few days but mine were very minor. Try going to the salon and asking a beautician, or if your a teen, your parents might be able to help. Maybe a doctor if its as bad as u say.
you probablly did something wrong i would suggest going to a hair salon and getting it one because they are pro.s and should know how to do it

but no you wont stay lik that forever altleat you shouldnt it should just be temperaryy

%26amp;%26amp; also next time have an ADULT help you
Maybe go to your local doctor,

Use DOve Intense therapy hair products. If your hair is long, try cutting as much as you can handle off, so new, perfectly healthy hair will grow back. Only time can really heal it.

Can you wet your hair after using a relaxer?

straightening relaxerCan you wet your hair after using a relaxer?
I am a hairdresser, and yes it is fine to wet your hair after a relaxer. You had to wash the relaxer out, right? That is wetting it. I just would not suggest going swimming in a pool with clorine for at least 2-3 weeks after a relaxer, unless of course you wear a swimming cap!Can you wet your hair after using a relaxer?
yes but dont wash it right away
I think so after 24 hours.
not for 48 hrs(two days.) I say wait a week. But two days is fine if you can't wait.
YOU MEAN RE- WASHING IT YES. IF YOU MEAN BY SHOWERING YES. OR ADDING WATER TO LAY IT DOWN YES. OR GOING SWIMMING YES, BUT WASH IT RIGHT AWAY. I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND YOUR QUESTION.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN? IF YOU ARE ASKING IF YOU CAN WASH IT THEN YEAH OF COURSE.
YES

Is a relaxer bad for hair?

My hair was permed curly in august. Would a relaxer damage my hair?Is a relaxer bad for hair?
Well anything with harsh chemicals will. I had my hair permed once, turned out it was a complete disaster and I bought a straightener..boy that did a number on my hair! So, it won't be good for the hair but hair grows! Is a relaxer bad for hair?
Perming and relaxing your hair is damage by definition. Depending on the resiliency of your hair, and how often you have done chemical treatments (coloring, etc.), based on the time line you should be okay. I would recommend having the relaxing done by a professional if possible, as well as purchasing an at-home moisturizing mask for your hair to be done a few days after the relaxing.

However, there is no guarantee that the relaxing process could not cause breakage. Based on my experience, if your hair is generlly in good health, you should be fine.

Can a hair relaxer give me softer curls instead of straight hair?

I'm a caucasian female with very tight curls - my roots are extremely tight and dense, resembling somewhat ';ramen noodles';. My curls below my roots are okay by me, they keep a softer shape the lower they hang but the closer they get to my roots the more unattractive they become. My question is if I can get a very mild relaxer put on my hair for a short amount of time to soften my curls at the root temporarily? I color my hair about twice a year to keep the dulling effects on natural red hair to a minimum and right now I have highlights. My hair straightens well with a hair straightner and I don't want totally straight hair all the time - just softer curls at the root. Thanks! Can a hair relaxer give me softer curls instead of straight hair?
i'm black but i have those ramen noodle curls too. you can look into a texturizer instead of a relaxer. a relaxer will only give you straight hair but a texturizer will just slightly relax whatever the texture of your hair is. you can continue to texturize your hair until it reaches the texture you like. or you can just do it once and see if you like it.

Black person hair relaxer on white person hair?

My husband wants to relax his hair, so he came home with a hair relaxing kit with a black woman on the box. The instructions have me a little worried and confused. It says to not wash his hair for five days before doing the relaxer...ew, I don't want to apply anything to his hair if he hasn't washed it for five days. And it says all this stuff about his hair breaking easily afterwards.

Will this even work on white person hair?

Do we really have to not wash his hair for five days?

I'm 36 weeks pregnant...can I even be in the house while he's doing this?Black person hair relaxer on white person hair?
You can use a black relaxer on white hair but I would still get it done by a professional if its his first time. yes you can be in the house, congrats on the kid btw. The relaxer is temporary and has to be applied every two months so its kind of pointless uness he plans on keeping up with his hair like a girl. That means deep conditioning his hair once a week to restore the moisture he lost in the relaxing process and laying off the heating appliances like blow-dryers and flat irons.

If he is still going to follow through with this than tell him to be sure to rub oil throughout his hair before applying the relaxer to avoid over processing. If the chemical is left on for to long it can burn his scalp causing temporary and sometimes permanate hair loss. Look around at the black girls whose hair is broken off and never grows past their shoulders. Its because of the relaxer. It can do to the same to your husbands hair.

I would really advise him not to do it, I am currently growing out my relaxer now. I will never get another relaxer again. Those chemicals are harsh.Black person hair relaxer on white person hair?
No you should not do his hair while pregnant the fumes can cause birth defects. That's why pregnant women are not even supposed to let alone color their hair.

And I've have had a few black roommates, and even their irons are waaay too hot for my hair. See whites have more handsome hair, and blacks hair is kinky. That's why the relaxer with the black woman on the box is specially made for black ppls hair. And this relaxer for black hair is sooo strong it will cause hair to fall out. Does he want to look like britney spears? Make an appointment for him at a salon and make him get it professionally done. 'nough said.
';White people hair'; ? Im guessing his hair is straight ? If his hair is straight and healthy I would not use a hair relaxer. People with course and/or thick hair and CRAZY curly hair often use this to make it less ';crazy'; and its hard for them to control it. If your husband has straight hair and is having trouble controlling it, I would suggest a new gel or a pomade. Use products ! Dont use chemicals.

Since you are pregnant, You can be in the same house, Just dont do it or apply it for him, And try not to be in the same room as him when he has it on. You wouldnt need to leave the house. Open some windows and you should be fine. But if you arent comfortable or feel sick, Then go for a walk :)
If he uses a relaxer that is for African American hair, it is likely that his hair will become damaged, fried, and fall out.

You are instructed not to wash your hair at least 5 days before using the product because when you wash your hair, your pores in your scalp are open. When a person uses a relaxer after they have washed their hair, the chemicals in the relaxer is going to burn their scalp like HELL.
my professional opinion is that he should not relax his hair himself. he needs to go to a salon. relaxers are very strong chemicals and its worth finding someone licensed to do this rather then his hair breaking off or getting chemical burns. there is relaxers for Caucasian hair. i suggest rusk anti curl. call around to salons and find a place. if he does that then he wont have to wash his hair for 24 to 48 hours instead of 5 days before
Don't use the relaxer on his hair it's way to strong for him, the reason they don't want his hair washed so it won't burn his scalp. Go back to the store a buy something for white people, and don't you do it, better yet go to a salon. I'm am a hair dresser.
i would return it if i were you. my bf is black and when he read this question he thought it was kinda funny, sorry..., but he said it would probly mess your hair up and i know it's not good to go 5 days w/o washing your hair. so that's gonna have to be a no for me...
That is a definite no-no. Our hair texture is different from yours. Even as a person of African descent, I can't use certain relaxers for African hair. I use a mild relaxer, but others may use a regular or super relaxer.
Oh Brother,

yes

I don't know

at 36 weeks, your child is fully developed, but ask your ped, not a bunch of strangers who know nothing
Hair relaxer is for people of color. I would not use it because of the hair texture differences. Go back to the store!

thats how my hair looks now ... and everytime its humid it gets frizzy......

i wonder using relaxer...(i saw a relaxer with little kids on it ) would that make my hair straightened down or what i need help on that .... i rate goodWhat does hair relaxer do to your hair?
Relaxers do just that.....relax the curl or waviness in your hair. Perms do the opposite....they create curls or waves in your hair.

People with what they call ';overly curly'; hair typically use relaxers.

Please consult with a professional before using either to be sure that you won't damage your hair.

Good Luck....from an ex-stylist!What does hair relaxer do to your hair?
it looks like you have that 'mediterranean' hair; when it's shorter it's curlier - when it's longer the weight pulls out some of the curl. it looks great super short or super long but not so much when it's in between lengths.

you could use a relaxer for children. it should pull out some of the waves enough for you. make sure you get a good cut after the chemical service.
natully do you have strait hair or curly hair. i have curly hair and i use curl realaxer it gets rid of tangles and stops most of the frizzing
in a way, it flattens ur hair more than it origianlly is. lets see .... if you were to use it, it might straighten ur hair, but dont get ur hopes on it too much. give it a try
