wow, u got a lot of questions. 4 a few ppl, it can last a yr, 4 most it doesn't, and u would need a 'touch up' every 6 weeks. but, there's a new process out called a japanese perm that's said 2 last a yr, but i couldn't say it works, and it costs about $1000US. i'm not sure about prices in Australia 4 a reg 1. Breast cancer - doubtful. it can make ur hair fall out if it's left on too long, the person who does it is an amature, the strength used is 2 strong or if u don't take proper care of ur hair. --so go 2 a salon where they do them daily. u can do anything, including simming, u just hav 2 wear a swimcap or wash ur hair, and flatiron it afterwards.
