Method


Add phase B into a disinfected glass beaker and heat to 150F/67C, stir until the solid ingredients are melted. Add phase A into a separate glass beaker and heat to the same temperature. Remove beakers from the heat. Add phase B to phase A and stir well forming a homogenous solution. After the temperature has dropped below 100F/40C, add phase C to phase A/B and stir again. Adjust the ph value with citric acid, and fill into jars or tubes.

Where can I get a hair relaxer cream?

So I'm hispanic and my hair used to be really long straight and healthy until the second time I got my highlights done the stylist used bleach when I normally had my highlights done with hair dye instead. So after that my hair has been really wavy, puffy and dry. %26amp; I have cut all the dry ends but my hair grows really slow. It's been almost 6 months since i cut my hair and it hasn't grown much.. But now since it's above my shoulders and it has layers, it gets supper puffy and wavy. So I wanted to know what method or creams I can apply to it ? DO NOT use relaxer over procesed hair or it WILL fall out. Just wait until the color grows out then go to BEAUTY SUPPLY WAREHOUSE and get a hair relaxer that is for CHILDREN (it is much gentler and since you are hispanic you do not need the strong version which is for african american hair). Just for Me is a good brand for you but leave it on onle for 7 minutes regardless of what the package says.

Everytime I get a relaxer my hair just goes back to being mega frizzy, curly and kinda dull after a couple of washes.





Anyway, I'm going to get some good pencil GHDs for xmas and I want a new hair style that is maintainable for sixth form and also suits me.


Kinda want some layers, but I'm not sure if that would be a good idea with my texture hair and it being short.

Although it damages the hair that can be if you take care of it.I have silky,Shiny,relaxed hair ,without necessary using a flat iron and i love the way it looks.So I'm sure that can happen.
If you get your hair relaxed by an experienced professional, absolutely, your hair would be silky! I absolutely do not recommend you buy a cheap box relaxer and do it yourself - you aren't skilled at doing a relaxer, and who knows what could happen (breakage, hair falling out, fried, etc).





I suggest you make some calls to salons in your area. Make sure to ask what type of relaxer they use. Mizani Butter Blends (NOT the original formula), Affirm, and Dudley's are the best salon relaxers in my opinion. Also ask about the stylist's experience. If the receptionist cannot answer any of these ';technical'; type questions, chances are the salon is not very good and/or they don't do many relaxers.





Also, just FYI - many women of color have course looking hair because they apply cheap box relaxers themselves, which is unfortunately common practice. Their hair could be quite nice and silky/soft if they went to a professional. Since you are biracial, I suspect you could get especially nice results, but make sure the stylist knows not to use a strong/resistant relaxer formula (a good stylist will know this immediately).
No, just do not over process and you should be fine. Depending on your hair texture you may want to try a kiddie perm for starters. Another alternative would a relaxer by Motions, in a yellow and purple jar, get the one that says moisturizing relaxer (Regular). Get the shampoo and conditioner that go with it. This product will leave your hair very manageable, soft and shiny. You may want to try Silk Elements relaxer, it's very affordable, usually you can find it at Sally's beauty supply chains. It leaves your hair lightweight, silky and feathery with mucho bounce, love this product but hard to find. -Bronze and cream jar and bottles.

The times that i have used a relaxer when i just let it air dry its still extremely frizzy and thick. I have to use a flat iron to get it straighter which is irritating, time consuming and even more damaging to my hair. I would have to say that with African American hair- our hair will never be bone straight without at least a blow dry. Then- it will be dry and some type of oil sheen, or grease applied to your hair will rectify that. You should invest in an ionic bonnet hair dryer. Still heat but does not apply it as concentrated on hairs as a blow dryer. Try styling your hair into a flat wrap - wrapping wet hair with setting lotion around your head completely. Unfortunately, depending on hair length/thickness you'll have to sit under the dryer a long time 2hrs or more to get completely dry to avoid frizziness. Or the roller wrap, set your hair with the largest rollers possible and sit under the dryer. It'll be straight with body.

Yeah try going to your local hairdressers or a really profesional one and ask about getting Chemical straightening done, it leaves your hair lookin immaculatly straight and theres no need for blow drying or straighteners.





It can cost from about 拢50- 拢300, and lasts upto a year, but its good investment if you c.b.a with flat irons and relaxers all the time

Well relaxers are never healthy for your hair anyway, so yee. But umm, I think you should wait a little before relaxing it RIGHT after you take out the fake hair. Because the fake hair already breaks a little of your own hair and your hair becomes slightly weaker, (depending on wether it's a weave or extensions, and what type) so relaxing it right after isn't that much help. I think you should let your hair BREATHE a little, first. And THEN torture your hair again.:)

Sure. If this is what you want to do. You can also buy a texturizer, which is a low-grade perm and is used to loosen the natural curl pattern. Some people will leave a perm on their hair for a very short amount of time so that it gets underprocessed (same effects as a texturizer). Either way it's a chemical. If you're okay with no longer being natural, then go for it. Since it is a chemical you might want to let a licensed professional put in. There are also natura'laxers and I've heard of a temporary relaxer. None of which I will ever try, but something you might want to look into.





You might also want to look into getting some anti-frizz serum if the frizz is becoming a problem. Sabino moisture block is supposed to keep the humidity and water out of your hair so that your hair stays straight longer, it also helps with frizz. You can go to the website and request a sample. It can only be washed out with shampoo. You should do it. Usually things like that say they'll make your hair perfectly straight... don't, so leaving it for 10 minutes would probably make even more sense. Good luck!

I have never heard the rumor of pouring beer in your hair, but im sure it wont work. Scientifically, relaxers break down disulfide bonds in the hair which cannot be replaced. With 9 out of 10 relaxers鈥ust about all of them, you have to wait till the hair grows out and eventually cut it off. You can try perming your ends if you used a Thio relaxer. If it was a sodium hydroxide relaxer鈥our hair will never be curly again in that area. Keep deep conditioning it on a weekly to bi-weekly basis and trim it every 4 weeks until the relaxer is gone. If you wish to perm the relaxed areas, consult with a stylist who is familiar with chemical texture services. He or she can determine if the hair can be reverted back to the curly state with a perm. its not true....there's nothing that can take that chemical out...you will have to just grow it out or get a perm...but if you got a perm you might end up with a chemical hair cut.
just cut it off now so it can start back growing. im thinking about cutting my relaxer out because i want to wear my hair in its natural state (wavy/curly). if i do it, i'll wait until the fall to cut it so it will be back long by summer/08.

I have very curly hair and ive always hated it. So i always kinda keep it really short, like in buzz cut. I was wondering what brand of relaxer can i buy. Ive been using ogilvie relaxer, but its too weak, because it took me about 4 tries to get my hair straight, and that really damaged my hair. Also, i want a relaxer that you can use more than once, Ex, ogilvie comes in two parts, the relaxer, and the neutralizer. I have short hair, so i can use 1 bottle for like 3 appplications . I'm a black girl, 28 years old, and I have had a relaxer for the last ten years of my life.





Real relaxers that black people use (AKA your hair goes from India Arie 1970s afro to Queen Latifah's kinda-straight kinda-not hair) is a thick white cream that smells and burns. If your scalp didn't become uncomfortably itchy, thats not what you got. If your hair texture is more like Tia and Tamera Mowry, this stuff isn't generally for you-there are gentler solutions to use. Fair warning, but people who do not have African-textured hair usually don't know how to do a relaxer. Ethnic hair styling evidently is not taught in most traditional beauty schools.





This is how you get a relaxer:


1) Apply generous amounts of the white cream to your hair-your head should be almost COMPLETELY white after this.


2) Let sit for about 15 min-it will itch/burn.


3)Wash THOROUGHLY and dry immediately


4)Apply moisturizing cream-your hair really shouldn't need much more of this until you wash it next.


5)In the US, this typically costs anywhere between $60 and $80 dollars, with a free style and trim/cut if you want it.





After this, African-textured hair should only be washed once a week at the most because it naturally dries out instead of getting greasy.





I don't know without seeing your hair, but what it really sounds like to me is that this lady used a relaxer that was to harsh for your texture of hair. If she used the heavy duty stuff, which I hope she didn't, I have no idea what that would do to Puerto Rican textured hair. Matting is probable. On African-American hair, the effects are irreversible, but maybe on your hair a licensed beautician can recommend something to help.

More than likely your hair is dry because you used the wrong products on your hair. If you don't have ethnic hair, you shouldn't be using a relaxer.

You won't be able to buy something that will do that over the counter. You need to see a professional and have a japanese hair straightening done. smoothing varies from person to persons. I've had ppl rake a wide tooth comb thru my hair (like a rat tail), some use brushes, it depends. DON'T scratch thru to the scalp, or else u will irritate it and risk burns.

What To Do With Hair Relaxer Touch-up Trouble?

I just got a relaxer touch-up about three weekends ago at a beauty school salon.


I've been going there for a while, and they usually do a good job.


However this recent visit turned out to be a disappointment.


I soon realized after I got the touch-up, that it didn't not go through well.


The back of my head, the front, and even parts of my hair were still ';rough'; and ';crinkly'; and ';un-permed'; one might say.


I really don't want to go back and get another touch-up or have someone at home do it for me. Plus I think you are supposed to wait a few months before getting another one, due to the damage it can do to your hair.


I'm not sure what to do to fix it and it's really bothering me. I can't really comb or brush areas of my head without some of the hair breaking off.


Someone suggested that I should hot-comb it, but I'm not sure if hot-combing relaxed hair is okay. (I thought the hot-comb was for natural hair only)

hmm well i have relaxed hair too, and i get a touch-up every 5 to 6 weeks. you were totally right about damage it can do to your hair if you dont wait long enough, but dont wait toooo long enough, like a few months. thats too long! maybe thats the problem? haha


well heres my suggestion, if you recently got a touch up, wait until the right time to get it again (5-6 weeks is best) but for now, give your hair a break! on the weekends, moisterize it by soaking it with olive oil then wash it out. when you straighten it make sure you use anti-heat sprays and really straighten the puffy parts of your hair well. when you go back to the salon, tell your hair stylist about the problem. ask for options! hope i helped! =] (sorry this answers superr long haha)

i watched a couple videos on youtube and it said to separate it into four parts and do it that way, and so does the instructions but my mom said it would be okay to put it directly on the curls whereas the top bit of my head is already straight from the perm growing out, would putting the (no lye) relaxer straight on to the hair work, or do we have to continue doing it on the roots, i need an answer asap because i want it done today because school starts next week =/

The straightening treatments are extremely hard on your hair and at my salon they cost $400. You can do highlights at home, but i have never had them turn out very well. I have always done highlights at home. I hardly go to the salon for highlights. YOu can buy a colour at almost any store and it has a hand brush to apply it.
getting it professionally permanently straightened usually costs between $300 and 600, depending on length and texture. and yes, you can buy a hair colour kit and it costs MUCH less than getting a professional colouring
It depends on the length of hair. Usually 60 and up for professional. You can highlight your hair at home. There are lot of kits like Miss Clairol. Depending on what your want different prices but you can straighten, perm, color, and highlight your hair from the comfort of your home. I have been getting my relaxers done is the salon but I wont be able to afford it for a couple of months. I have to go to the store to buy one. Which relaxer in stores is the best one to use. I need one that will be similar to salon relaxers, one that moisturizes well and is not really hard on the hair because I am regrowing my hair. I cut it really short in February and it has grown like 3 1/2 to 4 inches. I need maybe a known ';light chemical relaxer';. to answer your question, i would strongly suggest either the Supreme box relaxer or Optimum. Supreme is made by the same parent company as Affirm and KeraCare products. It has excellent conditioners and if you follow the directions won't damage your hair. Optimum is a second best. They recently improved their systems in the past year or so, and their products really do great at conditioning the hair.





regardless of what you do, i would strongly suggest deep conditioning your hair after using a store-bought relaxer to keep your hair healthy, strong, and shining especially since you have been using a professional strength relaxer for so long.





to answer your last question, you definitely want no lye. in most states in you can't even buy a lye relaxer unless you have a professional license anyway so just get your stand in-store no-lye relaxer. when you are working with a lye relaxer, you want a professional to do it so you don't run the risk of overprocessing. (i have been doing hair for years and i don't even put lye relaxers in my own hair...if that gives you a better idea of how against it i am).

Can I use a hair relaxer?

well, i went to the local drugstore a few days ago, and saw a hair relaxer box. i'm 13 and have very unruly curly/wavy hair (it just depends on the area on my hair...some of its curly some is wavy). it's very thick and poofy, and i have to straighten it every morning. I can't even walk around outside with it, it poofs up so much. anyways, i saw the hair relaxer box and read the back. it doesnt say exactly what kind of texture hair you have to have to use it. like, does it have to be textured like african american people's hair (that was the advertisement on all of the boxes) or can it be just curly? i kind of want to use it, so it can be straightened for a while. if i can, is there any good relaxers out there that won't damage my hair a lot and are good? i cant get it done at a professional because my mom won't let me. thanks!!Can I use a hair relaxer?
It won't work on your hair unless you have ethnic hair. I thought I had the technique wrong and tried many times, until I realised all it does is thin your hair for faster heat styling. But since my hair is curly, I still had to spend a fair amount of time styling and the heat caused even more damage to my thinned hair. I don't recommend it. It's just not made for you. I did try ONO with a little more success - my hair went from curly to wavy but very dry and split ends.





My suggestion: invest in good hair products for your hair such as Kerastase or Redken, and use the line for curly hair (they have more moisturisers). And use a leave-in cream (creams are heavier and will tame your curls better) for curly hair and you can finish off with some hair shine serum or hairspray. Also, don't rub or comb your hair while it is drying or you'll end up with frizz. Once the products are in, just let your hair dry. Twist and tie your hair in a loose ponytail when you sleep. Let your hair down curly, I'm sure it can't be that awful. You can straighten your bangs if you want.Can I use a hair relaxer?

hmmm.........that might be a good idea but i highly doubt it...you should just try to work with your natural hair or for a safer bet try a texturizer which will loosen the curl pattern................you should try to talk to a professional though so you don't seriously jack up your hair.....

chemical hair straighteners are really harsh on your hair....most that you see in the store are for african americans..it would do some damage to your hair...and it doesn't come out until your hair grows out so be 100% sure that's what you want before you do it!
I have biracial hair. I'm half black and half white. my best friend has a relaxer. Relaxers are really only used on ethnic hair, they can be very damaging too, unless you take good care of it. Cause I'm pretty sure we all know that relaxers are full of chemicals and if you don't take care of them correctly and use it unprofessionally, OUT goes your hair. And for some of you have said the reason why so many people have breakage because of relaxers, that's not true. Everyone eventually, does, or will have breakage. I have breakage and I have never had a relaxer before. Relaxers aren't the only cause on breakage so don't always blame 'relaxers.'
